An underground survey locates buried utilities and other underground features. The end product is an accurate scale CAD file indicating the routes, depths and positions of the surveyed utilities and features.
Overview
Over the last 20 years, we have undertaken surveys for major oil companies, supermarkets, architects, consulting engineers and environmental organisations. We have vast experience on many different sites, both in terms of size and type of conditions. Each project presents its own challenges and every project is assessed by the team to make sure the correct approach and solutions are found.
The mapping is undertaken using a variety of electromagnetic, visual and ground penetrating radar techniques. Using the latest equipment and experienced staff, Subscan Technology provides results to the highest standards. We detect utility positions together with features like voids, tanks, foundations, shafts. To create this reliable data, our staff may utilise confined spaces entry, specialist training certificates and complicated H&S risk assessments.
